The Road Less Travelled

Set out on a journey with a bag full of dreams,

Amidst a chaos of like minds,

Two paths laid ahead, a choice to be made-

Follow the herd or make your own world,

And the latter pleased my inquisitive mind.

It was probably the longer way,

Rugged, stormy, with no footprints ahead.

My dreams seemed far fetched, sometimes blurry,

sometimes broken,

No companion, doubts played a game,

But faith became larger than any hurdle on the way.

They talk about a bed of roses

But i found a bed of rotten leaves which became my

guiding star,

A road travelled by a few

Of complex minds and depth in hearts,

That have stories to tell to generations

Of struggles, of dilemmas, of victories

And of satisfied souls.
